Privacy notice

LoupeBeyond is a service of Baxton International (UEN 53474793X), a sole proprietorship registered in Singapore. In this notice, “we” means Baxton International. We collect very little personal data, and only what we need to run the guide. This notice explains what we collect and your choices, under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

What we collect, and why

• The Singapore Watch Brief. Your email address, whether you’ve confirmed or unsubscribed, the consent wording you agreed to and when, which form you used, and the codes in your confirm and unsubscribe links. We use these to send you the Brief, a weekly email about Singapore’s pre-owned watch market, and to prove you asked for it. The Brief may include clearly labelled sponsorship. We never share your email address with sponsors.
• Enquiries and event suggestions. Your name, email address, organisation, anything you write in the form, and the consent wording and when. We use these to reply to you, handle your enquiry, and consider your suggestion. Each enquiry is emailed to our inbox so that we can answer it.

We ask for your consent on each form, and each form says what we’ll use your details for. You don’t need an account, and we never ask for a password.

The Brief is for people aged 13 and over. If you’re under 13, please ask a parent or guardian to sign up for you.

What we don’t collect

We don’t store your IP address, and our site sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare, which runs our site, sees your IP address when you visit, as any web host does, and uses it to deliver and protect the site. We don’t sell your data.

Spam check on our forms

When you start filling in a form, Cloudflare Turnstile loads to check that you’re a person, not an automated program. It looks at your IP address and browser details. Cloudflare uses these for the check and, under its own privacy terms, to improve Turnstile.

Saved events

Events you save stay in your own browser. They are never sent to us. You can remove them by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

How long we keep it

• A Brief sign-up you don’t confirm is deleted after 7 days.
• If you confirm, we keep your address while you’re subscribed.
• If you unsubscribe, we keep your address, marked as unsubscribed, with the record of when you signed up and left. We keep it only so that we don’t email you again and can show we respected your choice. Ask us if you’d rather we delete it.
• We keep an enquiry, including the copies in our email inbox, until it is resolved and for 12 months after that. Then we delete it.

Who handles it for us

• Cloudflare hosts the site, stores our database, runs the Turnstile spam check on our forms, and forwards email sent to our address.
• Resend sends our emails, including the Brief. It is based in the United States.
• Google provides the email inbox where we read and answer enquiries.

These companies process data for us, and may do so outside Singapore, including in the United States.

Your choices

• You can withdraw your consent at any time. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can write to us. If you unsubscribe, we stop sending the Brief straight away, and always within 10 business days. If you withdraw consent for an enquiry, we may not be able to keep helping with it.
• You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, and how we have used or shared it in the past year, including which of the providers above handled it.
• You can ask us to correct it.

To protect your data, we may ask you to confirm who you are, for example by writing from the email address you signed up with. We’ll reply as soon as we reasonably can. If we need more than 30 days, we’ll tell you in writing within 30 days when we’ll reply.
